It will work, but we cannot claim compatibility because it’s not as easy to set up as we’d like. You will need to:
- Set the shuffle’s playback volume via the Apple-supplied headphones (we recommend around 85%).
- Unplug the headphones and plug in the Auxiliary Audio Cable.
- Toggle the shuffle’s power switch to off, then back to on again to initiate audio playback.
- Now that you have music playing on the shuffle, you can use the Auxiliary Audio Cable as you would with other iPods and audio devices.
