How can I use the iFM controller app outside the US?
When you first launch the app, it will ask you which region you’re in. This will make sure that you have access to the proper tuning increments and frequency range for your location. If you ever need to change that setting, just tap the settings button in the lower right-hand corner to make that change.
Do I need WiFi to use iFM?
The first time you plug the iFM into your iPod touch or iPhone, you will be asked to download the iFM controller app. If you want to download that app to your iPod touch right then and there, you will need access to a WiFi network. iPhone 3G and 3G S users can use Edge or 3G network coverage to download that app as well.
If you don’t have access to a WiFi network at that time, you can just download the app in iTunes when you get home.
My iPod doesn't have a touch screen. Can I use iFM with my classic or nano?

Can I use iFM with the 5th Gen iPod nano?
The 5th Gen nano has a built-in radio tuner and uses your headphones as an antenna, so you don’t need iFM to listen to FM radio.
If you plug in the iFM into your 5G nano and plug your headphones into the iFM, you’ll hear the audio from the iPod nano’s radio function, but since your headphones aren’t plugged into your iPod, you won’t hear any music.
I have my headphones plugged into my iPod or iPhone, but I don't hear the radio!
The iFM is not able to pass audio through to your iPod or iPhone’s headphone jack, so you’ll need to plug your headphones directly into the iFM to hear the radio.
Does this product work with iPhone 4?
Yes, the iFM hardware, iFM Radio Browser, and iFM Radio Controller work with iPhone 4. Once we have received approval from Apple, we’ll be able to list iPhone 4 as a compatible device on our website.
The multitasking feature of iOS 4 does not currently support apps that use hardware integration. This means that if you are listening to FM radio, and switch to another app, the FM radio audio stops. It’s possible that an update to the OS will allow devices like the iFM to take advantage of the multitasking feature.
Will this product work with the iPhone 4S?
Our testing shows that it works just fine, but additional certification is required before we can officially claim compatibility. Stay tuned to our webstore for the latest compatibility information.
Does iFM work in iOS 5?
Changes in iOS 5 have rendered Griffin’s iFM incompatible with the current operating system. Unfortunately, these changes cause the connection with the hardware to end when the screen is turned off or the app is pushed to the background. We apologize for the inconvenience, but are unable to resolve this issue with a software update.
